Intro Post

So I've recently acquired several new friends.  Just wanted to take a moment and give y'all a shoutout and say thanks for following!

And perhaps a little post about me would do too.

I just recently turned 24.  I have a BFA in Theatre.  And I have NO clue what I want to do with it.  I'm thinking either stage management or something with props.  Those areas always seem to be the one that attracts me.  I've also tossed the idea around of going to the local community college here and entering their culinary arts program.  The program here is REALLY good.  But alas, things like that cost money, and I have none.  So you might be wondering, what do I do to earn money?  I currently work at Bath and Body Works as a Sales Associate.  I've been there for not very long, just a few weeks, only had a few shifts so far, but I love it.

And now you're probably wondering what I do in my spare time.

I'm a TVaholic.  I have my shows that I watch religiously.  Those being, Glee, the Office, Big Bang Theory, Parks and Rec, and Doctor Who.  When they're on, I watch Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Biggest Loser, and So You Think You Can Dance?.  I also watch the Food Network pretty constantly.  I love TV Land, Roseanne, Home Improvement, the Nanny.  I miss Veronica Mars, I wish it would've stayed on the air longer.  Firefly is pretty sweet.  I love Nathan Fillion.

I also knit and I crochet.  I've been crocheting for about 5 years, and knitting for only a few months.

I like to read.  My favorite books include Harry Potter, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Jessica Darling Series ( Sloppy Firsts, Second Helpings, Charmed Thirds, Fourth Comings, Perfect Fifths) , Narnia, and TONS more.  I do quiet a bit of reading.

I also love movies.  My favorites are Star Wars, all six of them.  I am a hardcore SW nerd, and I could go on FOR DAYS about it.  The Princess Bride, Hairspray (2007, I recently bought the 80s one, but I have yet to watch it), I LOVE Disney movies, like the Lion King, Aladdin, etc.  I'll admit that I like the High School Musical movies, they're a guilty pleasure of mine. Harry Potter.  My list goes on and on.  I love movies.

I love music as well.  I'm constantly listening to something, whether it be the radio or a random cd.  I don't have any real favorite artists.  But I like a variety of music.  I'm not real crazy about extreme heavy metal or rap with a lot of cussing in it.  Just not for me.  But I listen to pretty much anything.

Now you probably noticed me say that I was a theatre major and you're now probably wondering what my favorite plays and playwrights are.  I really like Shakespeare, and I like Neal Simon, and I like absurdests, like Beckett.  I like Tennessee Williams.  Not so much a Miller fan, I like the Crucible though.  That's my favorite Miller play.  I have a love for Glass Menagerie.  It holds a special place in my heart.  As does A Midsummer Nights Dream, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.  Why you ask?  Because I was a stage manager of sorts for each one of those shows.   Musicals, oh lordy, I could go on for musicals forever.  I love them and adore them.  I have too many to list, so I'll save y'all from reading that.

So now y'all are probably wondering about my personal life.  AKA: Where I hail from and my family and such.

I was born and raised in Wichita, KS.  I went to school in the same school district for 13 years.  Went to college at Emporia State University.  My immediate family consists of me, my older sister Lauren, my mom, my dad, and my extremely dorky Yorkie Microchip, who we more commonly refer to as Chip.  My dad is a dentist, and my mom helps out at his office.  My sister is at UConn working on her PhD in English.  And I'm still figuring stuff out.  My parents picked us up and moved us from Wichita to Montana back in 2006.  The mountains and being close to Glacier was worth the move.

And I don't really know whatelse to say, but I'm always open for questions and whatnot if you have any.

I'm pretty random.  I mostly write what's going on in my life.  I try to update on a daily basis, but if nothing is happening, then it might be a day or two between updates.  So don't be surprised if you don't see an update from me for a day or two.

And that's pretty much it.
