Yellow Brick Road

Pretty Good Day

Today hasn't been too bad.  I slept till about 9 something.  And I woke up and it didn't feel like I had gotten enough sleep, but as I had my coffee and began to wake up a little bit, I felt better and finally felt like I caught up on sleep a little bit.  Watched the Olympics, of course.  But of course, my dad had to tell me that curling was on MSNBC this morning, so I flipped to that in a hurry.  And watched that for a bit.  Then flipped to the Olympics on NBC.  Those were pretty fun to watch.  Took Chip for a walk.  Then watched more stuff.  Had some dinner.  And watched more Olympics.  And I just had a shower a little bit ago.

Pretty good day.  Shani Davis got a Silver in Speed Skating, Lindsey Vonn a Bronze in Super G, and Apolo Ohno got a Bronze in Speed Skating.  Of course I was SPOILED for both the Lindsey Vonn and Apolo Ohno medals.  I was so not happy.  Especially with Apolo Ohno's.  Made me so mad!  Oh well.

Now WSU is playing Utah State on ESPN.  Which is pretty exciting!  I miss those guys so much!  But I haven't been to a game in about 4 years, so, I have no idea who any of those players are.  Nor do I know who the coach is.

So yeah, not too bad of a day.  Pretty relaxing.

This is my last week of doing nothing before I start my job.  Good thing I'm not missing any of the Olympics.  I'm sorry, I know that's like, dumb or whatever.  I'm just a hardcore fan.  I luff me some Olympics.

Ok, I should consider going to bed here soon.  I need more sleep.  Not completely caught up yet.

Writer's Block: Arts v. smarts

Given the choice, would you prefer to be a world-class (visual or performing) artist or an intellectual genius? Which, in your opinion, would facilitate a more fulfilling career and social life?

Artist.  It's where my passion lies.  I can have all the smarts in the world, but there's nothing more fulfilling to me, then giving people a performance of a lifetime, and entertaining them, and making them happy.  I love performing, and I can't think of anything else I'd like to be doing.
