Yellow Brick Road

A Hiking We Will Go

Well, It's been an interesting week.  I went to go post last week, but then it wouldn't let me.  So I'm sad.

Since last week, I've had my last appointment with my therapist, I've worked, and I sold 6 REDcards last week, saw Harry, and have been kinda lazy.

I closed every day I worked last week.  It was awful.  And it sucks, because everyday that I work next week, I close.  But the good news is, I got the days off that I asked for.  I'm so excited for the Fredricksons to get here!  We're gonna have such an awesome time together.  I know we're planning on going rafting one day next week.  Not sure whatelse we're gonna do, but regardless, I'm excited!

We went on the Highline trail in Glacier today.  We were gonna go to "Up", but we didn't end up going, because we were hiking.  I woke up grumpy, but got over that after I ate something.  It was an awesome hike, minus the rain we got on the way back.  But it was really cool.  We had great views, we saw tons and tons of wildflowers all the way, saw 8 or 9 Big Horn Sheep, we saw Mountain Goats at Logan Pass, and on the way out we saw a couple of deer, and then we saw a couple more on the way home.  The hike itself was exhausting.  It started off with a bit of downhill, but then leveled off.  We crossed several waterfalls, which was cool.  It was semi rocky terrain in a couple of places, but otherwise it wasn't too bad.  We did see some R.O.U.S's (otherwise known as a Hoary Marmot, but I'd rather call it an R.O.U.S) and several other ground squirrels.  It was such a cool hike.  But I was EXHAUSTED by the time we got down.  On the way back, I didn't stop once. I mean, we did stop a couple of times, mostly to get out of the way of the Big Horns, but otherwise, I went 3 1/2 miles without stopping, not to catch my breath or anything.  I did stop once to talk to someone and let them get by, but otherwise, I just kept going.  I wanted to prove to myself that I could.  And I think this was my first hike where I didn't complain at all.  And I actually enjoyed myself.  I was so gosh darn determined to do the hike, and prove to myself that I could do something.  And, when we got back to C. Falls, we stopped by DQ and I got a Tagalong Blizzard and some dinner.  Good stuff.  Overall, it was an awesome hike.

I close tomorrow night, but otherwise, I don't close the rest of the week.  It's amazing.

Anyways, I'm exhausted and I've got some stuff to do, so I should go do that.
